Bhushan Kumar Clarifies Divya Khosla’s Surname Change Amid Divorce Rumours

T-Series denies divorce speculations as Divya Khosla alters Instagram name, citing astrological reasons.

In the midst of swirling divorce rumors, Divya Khosla, formerly Divya Khosla Kumar, sparked speculation after she altered her Instagram name, shedding the ‘Kumar’ surname and unfollowing T-Series, helmed by her husband Bhushan Kumar. However, T-Series representatives have stepped forward to debunk the rumors, shedding light on the true reasons behind Khosla’s social media update.

Addressing the Speculations

In an exclusive interview with Zoom, a spokesperson for T-Series refuted claims of marital discord between Bhushan Kumar and Divya Khosla, who have been married for nearly two decades. The spokesperson unequivocally dismissed the divorce rumors, attributing Khosla’s decision to remove ‘Kumar’ from her Instagram handle to astrological beliefs. Moreover, Khosla also appended an additional ‘s’ to her maiden surname, Khosla, symbolizing her adherence to astrological principles.

Respecting Personal Choices

The T-Series spokesperson emphasized that Divya Khosla’s choice to modify her surname reflects her personal beliefs and should be respected accordingly. The alteration, driven by astrological convictions, does not signify any underlying marital strife, but rather a personal choice guided by spiritual considerations.

A Glimpse into Their Relationship

Bhushan Kumar, scion of the renowned Gulshan Kumar’s empire and the head of T-Series, crossed paths with Divya Khosla back in 2004 during the filming of her debut movie, “Ab Tumhare Hawale Watan Saathiyo,” featuring Akshay Kumar. The couple exchanged vows in 2005 in Jammu and welcomed their son Ruhaan in 2011, a testament to their enduring bond.

Insight into Divya Khosla’s Career

Apart from her personal life, Divya Khosla has made strides in the film industry. Her latest venture, “Yaariyan 2,” released on October 20, 2023, marks her return to the screen alongside Meezan Jafri and Pearl V Puri. Produced by Bhushan Kumar and directed by Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru, the film stands as a standalone sequel to Khosla’s directorial debut, “Yaariyan” (2014), and pays homage to the 2014 Malayalam hit, “Bangalore Days,” originally crafted by Anjali Menon.

In conclusion, while social media may speculate, the truth behind Divya Khosla’s name change serves as a reminder that personal beliefs often transcend the digital realm, reaffirming the resilience of her bond with Bhushan Kumar amidst the glare of public scrutiny.
