India Covid update: A slight decrease in new cases; two deaths have been reported

According to the latest data from the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, India saw a modest decrease in new cases on Wednesday morning, with 699 new cases registered. On Monday, the country had 918 new cases.

According to figures updated at 8 a.m., two deaths in Kerala and Odisha brought the total to 5,30,808.

The daily positivity rate was 0.71 percent, and the weekly positivity rate was 0.91 percent. The overall number of Covid cases is 4.46 crore (4,46,96,984).

According to the ministry, active cases now account for 0.01 percent of all infections, and the national Covid-19 recovery rate is 98.80 percent.

Thus far, 92.04 crore tests have been performed, with 97,866 being performed in the last 24 hours.

A total of 4,41,59,617 people have recovered from the sickness, with a case fatality rate of 1.19 percent reported.

According to the ministry’s website, 220.65 crore doses of Covid vaccination have been administered throughout the country as a whole.
