Neha Singh Rathore, who sang “UP mein ka ba,” asked the police, “Who wrote these?”

Neha Singh Rathore, who is known for her song “UP Mein Ka Ba,” was given a notice by the Kanpur Police on Tuesday night for allegedly inciting hatred through her song video. After Bihar mein Ka ba did well in 2020, Neha Singh Rathore put out U Mein Ka Ba before the Uttar Pradesh Assembly election in 2022. The singer put out the second part of UP Mein Ka Ba on February 16. A notice was sent to her asking if she wrote the lyrics to the songs.

The singer posted a video showing how she got the letter. When she got the notice, the singer asked the police, “Who is making you do all of these?” Manish Sisodia, the deputy chief minister of Delhi, said that what the Uttar Pradesh police did was shameful and asked, “Is the BJP so afraid of a folk singer’s voice?” Akhilesh Yadav, the head of the Samajwadi Party and a former chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, also responded to the police notice to Neha Singh Rathore.

In her new song, Neha asks the government about the death of two women in Kanpur Dehat when a bulldozer ran over them. This is one of the most recent political controversies.

In the notice, Neha Singh Rathore is asked a number of questions about her social media. Aside from questions like whether she uploaded the video herself, she has been asked to prove that it was her in the video. Someone else asked if she writes the lyrics to her songs and if she stands by them. The police notice asked, “If you didn’t write the lyrics, did the person who did ask your permission?” It asked the singer if she knew about the video’s “negative effects” on society.

“This song has made people angry and tense, and you are legally required to say what you think about it. So, you have three days from the time you get the notice to file your response “the notice from the UP Police said.

“If the answer doesn’t seem good enough. If your answer isn’t good enough, a case will be filed under the appropriate sections of the IPC and CRPC, and a proper legal investigation will be done “it added.
