The festival of Karwa Chauth is celebrated with much fervor across the country before Diwali. Many Bollywood celebrities also observed fasts and took part in Puja rituals for the well-being of their husbands.
Among the newly married couples, actors Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra celebrated their first Karwa Chauth after getting married earlier this year. Photos shared online showed Kiara dressed in a red saree, wearing sindoor and maang tikka, performing the rituals.
Other newlywed brides including actors Sonam Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra, and Alia Bhatt also celebrated their first Karwa Chauth fast after marriage. They shared heartwarming messages about their husbands on social media.
Some of the other celebrities who were seen celebrating Karwa Chauth included Shilpa Shetty, Raveena Tandon, Bhagyashree and more. Videos showed them dressed in traditional outfits, worshipping the moon at night after completing the fast.
In several photos, the husbands including Raj Kundra, Nick Jonas, and Ayushmann Khurrana also joined their wives for the rituals and broke the fast together.
Karwa Chauth holds a special significance in Bollywood, with many films over the years featuring songs and scenes around this festival of marital bonding. It remains a cherished tradition for many celeb couples.
