Have faith that PM Modi, like Yediyurappa before him, will clean up Karnataka: Shah

Union home minister Amit Shah said on Thursday that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will form the government in Karnataka with a full majority. He also asked people to trust Prime Minister Narendra Modi and former chief minister BS Yediyurappa.

Shah was talking to a group of people in Sandur, which is in the Ballari district of Karnataka. He said this right before the state is expected to hold elections in May.

Shah said, “Trust PM Modi and Yediyurappa once, and we (the BJP) will give Karnataka a government that will get rid of corruption and make it the best state in south India.”

Shah said, “This time, the BJP will form the government in the state with a full majority. I want to give the party a new boost as it prepares for the elections in May. Join hands with me to make a government with a full majority.”

Shah said that both the Congress and the JD(S) are to blame for the huge amount of corruption in the state.

“We went to the polls in 2018 under the leadership of Yediyurappa. But we couldn’t put together a government, so Congress did it with JD (S). Your vote for JD(S) will be sent to Congress. Shah said that Congress and JD(S) are to blame for corruption in the state.

Shah said that Congress and JDS are dynastic parties, and that dynastic parties can’t work for the people’s good.

“In 2018, we didn’t get a full majority.” Congress and JD(S) are playing politics with their own families. Because of this, nothing is getting better. “We ask that you give us the most votes,” Shah said.

Shah has been to the state with elections coming up four times in less than two months.

In December of last year, he went to the state to speak at events in Bengaluru and Mandya.

End of January, he went to Belagavi, and in February, Shah was in Dakshina Kannada, where he worked to strengthen the party along the coast of Karnataka.

Shah also talked about the surgical strike that the central government had done.

“If you vote for the BJP, PM Modi’s power will grow. Modi put the first stone in place for the Ram Mandir. “Shah said that only the BJP has the power to go to Pakistan and do a surgical strike.

“We own Kashimir. Kashmir’s special status was taken away by PM Modi. Rahul Gandhi of the Congress was against this. He said that there will be blood if the special status for Kashmir is taken away. There was no blood, but now there is only peace,” Shah said.

The union home minister also brought up rumours that the Karnataka Congress was fighting among itself for the job of chief minister.

“Siddaramaiah’s government is like an ATM. There are people from the “ATM government” in Delhi. “The Congress is split as long as Rahul Gandhi is in charge,” he said.

Shah said that PM Modi shut down the PFI and that the Congress dropped its cases against the group.

“Modi banned PFI. Congress dropped the cases against PFI. “Congress was in charge for decades, but they never did any work,” he said.

People who know about the situation say that after the public meeting, Shah met in Sandur with leaders and ticket-seekers from four districts in the Bellary division, including Yediyurappa.
