  • 2 bunches fresh spinach, washed and chopped

  • 1⁄2 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp Kashmiri red chilli powder
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • Salt to taste

Step-by-Step Method

Prep the Ingredients

  1. Wash the spinach well and chop it finely. Keep aside.
  2. Chop the onion and tomato.
  3. Cut the paneer into small cubes.

Make the Palak Paneer

  1. Heat oil in a pan. Add the cumin seeds and let them splutter.
  2. Add the chopped onion and saute for 2 minutes.
  3. Add the ginger-garlic paste and saute for 30 seconds. Don’t let it burn.
  4. Add the chopped tomato and cook until soft and mushy.
  5. Add all the dry spices (garam masala, turmeric, red chilli powder) and salt. Mix well.
  6. Add the chopped spinach. Mix everything together and cover with a lid. Cook for 2 minutes.
  7. Add the paneer cubes. Gently stir and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  8. Check for taste and add more salt if required.

Finish and Serve

  1. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves. Drizzle some cream on top.
  2. Serve the palak paneer hot along with naan or rice. Enjoy!
