Grand Ram Mandir Inauguration: PM Modi to Address Devotees from Singh Dwar in Ayodhya

Lakhs of devotees expected for the consecration ceremony on Jan 22; Preparations underway for the grand event

Preparations are in full swing for the consecration ceremony of Lord Rama’s idol on January 22nd in Ayodhya. In a big development, sources reveal that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the devotees present at the grand inauguration event in front of ‘Singh Dwar’, the main entrance of the temple.

PM Modi will inaugurate the majestic Ram Mandir on January 22 and welcome the guests arriving for the ceremony. Lakhs of devotees are expected to throng the temple town for the consecration. Many VIP guests including actors, sportspersons and leaders have also been invited.

The trust responsible for the temple’s construction – Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra – will hold a meeting today to discuss the idol and preparations for the event. Another meeting will be held to select the idol of Ramlala.

Earlier, Trust Secretary Champat Rai said the 51-inch statue of 5-year-old Ram Lalla will be chosen from 3 designs that best depict the child form of Lord Rama. He described the temple’s architecture, saying 21-22 lakh cubic feet of stone has been used, unmatched in scale in North or South India in the last 100-200 years.

The grand inauguration promises to be a historic event with lakhs gathering to witness the consecration of the majestic Ram Mandir. PM Modi addressing devotees from Singh Dwar will be a special moment in India’s religious and cultural history.
