Bills for water in Greater Noida will be sent via SMS, and preparations for Gangajal will begin

Greater Noida Authority officials have announced that allottees will soon receive their water bills via SMS. The bills are currently accessible through the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) website.

GNIDA’s CEO Ritu Maheshwari instructed that water bills be sent to allottees’ mobile phones along with a payment link, allowing them to pay their water bills after entering their allotment number. A link to the ‘Mitra’ app, which has the capability to pay bills and arrears, was also requested by her. It was also agreed to tie up with Paytm to facilitate bill payment.

‘Know Your Allottee’ certification instructions were also issued for the purpose of updating mobile numbers. GNIDA estimates that approximately 35,000 consumers will benefit from this step.

It will also be possible for non-KYA allottees to make payments online if they have not completed the certification process. Furthermore, the CEO directed officials to begin supplying water to areas and villages where it is not currently available on a priority basis.

Following the cleaning of the Ganga canal, Maheshwari instructed his staff to prepare for the arrival of Ganga water from Haridwar, so that water can be supplied to the first phase of sectors as soon as possible. Greater Noida will be supplied with 85 cusecs of water by the Gangajal project.
