Swami Prasad Maurya Launches Rashtriya Shoshit Samaj Party After Exiting Team Akhilesh

In a significant political move, Swami Prasad Maurya, former member of the Samajwadi Party (SP), has officially launched his new political outfit, the Rashtriya Shoshit Samaj Party (RSSP), in New Delhi. This comes shortly after Maurya’s resignation from the SP and the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council, signaling a new chapter in his political career.

Maurya wasted no time in asserting the objectives of his newly formed party, emphasizing the need to counter the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and strengthen the INDI alliance. He criticized the prevailing state of affairs in the country, citing concerns over unemployment, inflation, and the treatment of farmers and traders.

Addressing the media, Maurya stated, “It is imperative to defeat the BJP. We will work towards bolstering the INDI alliance to achieve this goal. I am prepared to make any necessary sacrifices in this endeavor.”

The formation of the RSSP marks Maurya’s determination to challenge the BJP’s dominance in Uttar Pradesh. He indicated plans to engage with other party officials to strategize on contesting seats in the upcoming elections.

Expressing his resolve to prioritize defeating the BJP, Maurya affirmed that even family members joining the BJP would face electoral defeat. He mentioned his intention to meet with Mallikarjun Kharge, the convenor of the INDI Alliance, to discuss seat distribution and electoral strategies.

Interestingly, Maurya’s daughter, Sanghamitra Maurya, currently serves as a BJP Member of Parliament from Badaun. Despite this familial connection, Maurya remains committed to his political objectives.

The growing discord between Maurya and Akhilesh Yadav, the SP chief, became apparent when Yadav insinuated that Maurya had joined the party for personal gain. This rift, coupled with ideological differences, ultimately led to Maurya’s departure from the SP.

Maurya’s political journey has been characterized by bold statements and controversial remarks, drawing attention to critical issues such as religion and culture. His decision to form the RSSP underscores his determination to carve out a distinct political identity and challenge established political forces in Uttar Pradesh.
