PM Modi Unveils Transformative Projects in Jammu, Highlights Article 370’s Impact

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurates developmental ventures worth ₹32,000 crore in Jammu and Kashmir, emphasizing the region's progress post Article 370 abrogation.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi embarked on a journey of development in Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday, ushering in a new era with the launch of multiple transformative projects valued at ₹32,000 crore. With a diverse portfolio encompassing healthcare, education, transportation, energy, and civic infrastructure, these initiatives mark a significant stride towards realizing the region’s potential.

Among the highlights of the event was the inauguration of the first Electric Train in the valley, symbolizing a leap forward in modernizing transportation infrastructure. Additionally, the commencement of the train service between Sangaldan station and Baramulla station along the Banihal-Khari-Sumber-Sangaldan section, equipped with Ballast Less Track (BLT), promises enhanced travel experiences for passengers.

Prime Minister Modi also took the occasion to distribute appointment orders to approximately 1500 newly recruited government officials, further bolstering administrative capacities in the region.

In his address to the gathering, PM Modi reaffirmed his commitment to realizing the aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir, articulating a vision of ‘Viksit Jammu and Kashmir’ (Developed Jammu and Kashmir). He exuded confidence in the region’s potential for growth, pledging to translate decades-old dreams into tangible realities under his leadership.

Reflecting on the transformational journey of Jammu and Kashmir, PM Modi underscored the pivotal role played by the abrogation of Article 370 in removing barriers to development. He emphasized the region’s transition from a landscape marred by conflict to one characterized by progress and prosperity.

“With the elimination of Article 370, a significant impediment to Jammu and Kashmir’s development has been removed. I urge the people to support BJP to secure 370 seats and NDA to achieve 400 seats in elections,” PM Modi asserted.

Acknowledging the forthcoming release of a film on Article 370, PM Modi welcomed initiatives aimed at disseminating accurate information, facilitating public understanding of historic decisions.

The event, graced by dignitaries including Jammu and Kashmir Lt Governor Manoj Sinha and Union Minister Jitendra Singh, witnessed accolades for the remarkable reduction in terrorism incidents and the cessation of divisive politics.

Lt Governor Sinha commended the substantial decline in terrorism activities, emphasizing the restoration of normalcy with bustling markets and educational institutions operating year-round.

Union Minister Jitendra Singh attributed the region’s newfound empowerment to the end of appeasement politics, underscoring the inclusive development agenda championed by PM Modi.

As Jammu and Kashmir marches ahead on the path of progress, PM Modi’s transformative vision continues to inspire hope and optimism, heralding a new dawn for the region’s residents.
