Army officer killed, 3 soldiers injured in fire in Siachen

Officials added that the injured have been safely air-evacuated for further treatment, and their condition is stable.

An Army officer was slain, and three soldiers were injured early Wednesday morning in a fire incident on the Siachen glacier, according to officials.

According to officials, the incident occurred on the Siachen glacier around 3 a.m. on Wednesday.

They reported that four soldiers were injured in the incident.

According to officials, Captain Anshuman Singh, the Army’s Regimental Medical Officer, succumbed to severe burn injuries, while three other personnel suffered smoke inhalation and second-degree burns.

They added that the injured have been safely air-evacuated for further treatment and their condition is stable.
