Prime Minister Modi pays tribute to the CRPF jawans slain in the Pulwama attack: “Their bravery inspires us to build a strong India.”

Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute on Tuesday to the members of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) who were killed in the Pulwama incident four years ago on this date. On Twitter, Prime Minister Modi stated that their courage inspired him to “create a strong and developed India.”

“Remembering the valiant heroes we lost in Pulwama on this day. We shall never forget the ultimate sacrifice they made. Their bravery inspires us to build a strong and prosperous India,” tweeted Prime Minister Modi.

Additionally, the CRPF and other security forces paid tribute to the fallen servicemen. In Pulwama, the officers of the CRPF, the Jammu and Kashmir Police, and the Indian Army, led by the Special Director General of the CRPF Daljit Singh Chaudhry, lay floral wreaths at the memorial for the Pulwama martyrs.

On February 14, 2019, in one of the bloodiest strikes against Indian security forces, 40 CRPF soldiers were killed after an explosives-laden car collided with the bus transporting them from Jammu to Srinagar.

In his own homage, Union Home Minister Amit Shah stated that the nation would never forget the sacrifice of the warriors. “Their valour and unflinching bravery will forever serve as an inspiration in the fight against terrorism,” he said.

President of the Congress Mallikarjun Kharge also honoured the martyrs for their “ultimate sacrifice.”

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar wrote, “Honor to our valiant soldiers who gave their lives on this day in 2019 in Pulwama” We honour them by continuing vigilance and combating transnational terrorism.”

In a tribute, Congressman Rahul Gandhi remarked that India will never forget their sacrifice.

The Chief Minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal, stated that our nation will forever be obliged to the warriors for their sacrifice.

President of the BJP, J. P. Nadda, penned, “I pay a deep respect to all those valiant souls who were sacrificed in Pulwama on this day and recollect their supreme sacrifice and devotion to our nation. Their valour and unselfish commitment to the nation inspires every person and will forever be remembered.”

The chief minister of Rajasthan, Ashok Gehlot, also took to Twitter to honour the martyrs.

“Humble tributes to all the valiant warriors who sacrificed their lives in the heinous terrorist attack on CRPF jawans in Pulwama on February 14, 2019,” reads a statement. The nation will forever be indebted to them for their tremendous sacrifice,” stated Gehlot.
