Rumors of Petrol Pump Closures in Pune Refuted, Supply to Remain Unaffected

PUNE – Widespread rumors claiming an imminent shutdown of petrol pumps across Pune district have been officially dismissed by the Petrol Dealers Association Pune (PDA), much to the relief of citizens. In a categorical statement, PDA President Dhruv Ruparel urged the public not to panic over false information and assured that no strike has been planned by the petrol pump owners in the region.

“We request citizens not to pay heed to any unfounded rumors about fuel supply being hit. There is no truth to such claims,” he stated.Emphasizing that Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) are dedicated to meeting fuel requirements in Pune, Ruparel said supply would remain undisrupted despite misleading reports fueling uncertainty among residents.

Reiterating the assurances, Ali Daruwala, Spokesperson for the All India Petrol Dealers Association (AIPDA) confirmed, “All petrol pumps will continue normal operations across Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad.

The ongoing transporters’ strike will have no bearing on petrol and diesel supply here as the district administration has made adequate arrangements.”With authoritative clarifications from industry associations dismissing rumors, citizens can rest assured over the uninterrupted supply of transport fuels in the days ahead.
