PM Modi Attacks Congress Over Poverty Alleviation in Kerala Visit

Credits BJP government for taking 25 crore out of poverty

PM Modi Slams Congress for Failed Poverty Alleviation Efforts in Kerala

During his recent Kerala visit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a scathing attack on Congress for failing to alleviate poverty despite decades of sloganeering. He credited the BJP government for lifting over 25 crore Indians out of poverty.

Addressing BJP karyakartas, PM Modi said the Congress gave lofty slogans about ‘garibi hatao’ for nearly 50 years but it is the current BJP regime that has impacted poverty levels. He said a recent report showed 25 crore people have come out of poverty under BJP rule, which is a major achievement.

The PM said the effects of the NDA government’s schemes and policies are now visible across India. He gave a mantra for victory, stating the BJP should aim to win every booth through hard work and connecting with each voter.

PM Modi accused Left and Congress of having a track record filled with corruption in Kerala. He said the BJP must communicate this to the electorate as the only party with a proven development model and clear vision.

The Prime Minister said he was overwhelmed by the affection shown by Keralites during his visit. He will return to Delhi in the evening after concluding his two-day Kerala tour.

The statements indicate PM Modi’s strategy of putting the spotlight on the BJP’s pro-poor schemes and governance record in states like Kerala, while attacking the Congress-led UDF’s legacy of corruption.
