The newly launched Mumbai-Gandhinagar Vande Bharat has suffered minor damages following a cattle strike

Vande Bharat Express, which were recently launched between Mumbai Central and Gandhinagar, suffered minor damage after hitting a herd of buffaloes in Gujarat on Thursday morning.

Around 11.20 am, an incident occurred between the Gairatpur and Vatva stations.

A railway spokesperson stated that the engine’s front part was damaged during the incident. When three four buffaloes suddenly crossed the route of the Mumbai-Gandhinagar VB (Vande Bharat), the nose of the vehicle was damaged.

There were no functional parts damaged in the incident, according to the spokesperson. After removing the carcasses (within eight minutes), the train moved and reached Gandhinagar on time. The incident occurred between Gairatpur and Vatva stations at 11:18. Railways are advising nearby villagers not to leave cattle near railway tracks.”

In a ceremony on September 30, Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off the first semi-high speed trains.
