Jurgen Klopp should coach the German national team, say German fans

Fans have called for Jurgen Klopp to replace Hansi Flick as manager of the German national football team following the German team’s group-stage exit at the FIFA World Cup.

“Jurgen Klopp isn’t leaving Liverpool. He’s coming to coach us,” said a fan after Germany beat Costa Rica 4-2.

Germany also crashed out during the group phase of the 2018 World Cup in Russia. The European Championship was postponed last year because of Coronavirus. Germany got knocked out in the second round.

When they played Spain, another fan questioned the team’s mentality.

“We lost to Japan; they played better. They were happy with the draw against Spain. “They did not play to win; they played not to lose,” he explained.

It’s empty inside me. I had the same feeling in Russia four years ago. The same thing happened to us. When you win the World Cup in Brazil, then get knocked out in the group stage… “I am not sure,” he replied.

In the meantime, one of the German fans alleged that their World Cup exit was due to a conspiracy theory.

Even though Spain was happy to lose, Japan was happy to win; it seemed strange to him.

A German fan thinks Jamal Musiala, who led most of their attacks, isn’t ready for national team duty.

The only thing I’m sad about is that. They missed a lot of opportunities, especially Musiala.

There’s no Musiala for the World Cup, no Musiala for the National Team.”

“He’s doing really well for Bayern Munich, but against Japan and now against Costa Rica, he’s awful,” he said.

He says, “The worst thing would be if Argentina won the World Cup; I’m with the Three Lions.”

Afterwards, Germany’s players talked about missed chances and good performances.

The team’s problems weren’t really answered.

This is 25 experts standing together. Thomas Müller said after Germany’s 4-2 win over Costa Rica: “You can all advise each other and agree on a few details.”

When Germany lost its first game 2-1 to Japan, then drew 1-1 with Spain, its fate was pretty much sealed.

We haven’t lived up to expectations at the tournaments in recent years because we don’t have enough specialists running around as a team. We have a lot of talented players. Müller replied, trailed off and let those at the media conference finish.

The Germans had reached the semifinal stage of every major competition since the 2006 World Cup, which they hosted.

In 2016, I joined the team. The Germans were always in the semifinals before that,” midfielder Joshua Kimmich said. Then I come in, and we’re out (of the World Cup) in the first round, and we were out last year in the second round.”
