Agniveers will make the Armed Forces younger and more tech-savvy: Prime Minister Modi addressing the first group of recruits

Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the first group of Agniveers in the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force, who began their basic training earlier this month. He stated that they will make the Indian Armed Forces younger and more technologically aware.

Prime Minister Modi addressed the Agniveers through a video conference that the new strategy will be a game-changer in terms of boosting the Indian Armed Forces and preparing them for future challenges.

According to a government release, Modi informed them that their spirit reflects the “courage of the armed forces” that has always kept the national flag flying high. The statement read, “He stated that the experience they will gain via this chance will be a source of lifelong pride.”

PM Modi also informed the Agniveers that efforts are ongoing to modernise and make the Indian military atmanibhar. He spoke to them about the new fronts of contactless combat and the problems of cyber warfare, claiming that the way conflicts are waged in the 21st century is changing.

He stated that technologically advanced troops would play a crucial part in the future of our armed forces, adding that because the current generation of youth has this ability, Agniveers will play a major role in the future of our armed forces.

Regarding the scheme’s potential to empower women further, he stated that women Agniveers are a source of pride for the Naval forces and that he anticipates seeing women Agniveers in all three forces.

Mentioning the female Army officer stationed in Siachen and the female pilots of contemporary fighter aircraft, he stated that women are leading the military on multiple fronts.

PM Modi went on to tell the Agniveers that being stationed in different places will afford them the chance to get a variety of experiences and that they should make an effort to study new languages and about various cultures and ways of life.

He noted that teamwork and leadership development will add new aspects to their personalities, and he urged them to remain insatiably curious about learning new things and to better their abilities in their chosen domains.
