The Punjab government invites applications for the recruitment of 5,994 primary school teachers

For the recruitment of 5,994 primary teachers, the Punjab School Education Department has published an advertisement inviting applications from candidates who have passed the Teacher Eligibility Test.

According to Punjab School Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains, candidates who have passed the TET exam will be able to apply online on http://www.educationrecruitmentboard.com from October 14 to November 10 until 5 p.m. for these posts of ETT (Elementary Teacher Training) teachers.

All of these recruitment examinations will be conducted in a transparent manner, according to Bains.

An objective type written test of 200 marks will be conducted to be considered for these positions. For the general category, the age limit is 18 to 37 years, while for the reserved category and other categories, it is 18 to 35 years. For general category candidates, a minimum of 50% marks in Class XII are required; for candidates in the reserved category, a minimum of 45% marks are required. Furthermore, he stated that passing the TET-1 along with the two-year ETT course is a requirement for these positions.

Of these 5,994 posts, 975 are specifically reserved for women, and 2,994 backlog posts are also included.

In the case of the general category, the application fee is Rs 1,000, and in the case of the reserved category, it is Rs 500.
