The government’s “mitr kaal” budget shows that it doesn’t have a plan for building India’s future: Rahul Gandhi

Rahul Gandhi, a leader of the Congress party, criticised the Modi government on Wednesday, saying that its “mitr kaal” budget has no plan to create jobs or deal with inflation. He said this shows that the Centre doesn’t have a plan for building India’s future.

Gandhi’s response came after Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman gave the Union Budget for 2023-2024. In that budget, the government raised the personal income tax rebate limit, gave tax breaks for small savings, and announced one of the biggest increases in capital spending in the last ten years.

“There is no plan for creating jobs in the “Mitr Kaal” budget. There is NO plan to fight Mehngai. There is NO plan to stop inequality. The richest 1% own 40% of the wealth, the poorest 50% pay 64% of the GST, and 42% of young people are out of work, but the PM doesn’t care! In a tweet, Gandhi said.

“This Budget shows that the government doesn’t have a plan for building India’s future,” he said.
