Shah Rukh Khan described the new parliament building as "but with the age old dream of Glory of India."
On Saturday, Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan praised the inauguration of the new parliament complex, calling it a “magnificent new home” for those who safeguard our constitution.
“What a magnificent new home for those who uphold our Constitution, represent every citizen of this great Nation, and safeguard the diversity of her one People, @narendramodi ji.” A new Parliament building for a New India, yet with the age-old aspiration of Indian glory. “Jai Hind! #MyParliamentMyPride!” tweeted the superstar.
On Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold a grand opening ceremony for the new parliament building. The new parliament facility, which cost 971 crore, can house 888 Lok Sabha members and 300 Rajya Sabha members. The Lok Sabha is being built to allow combined sessions and will have a capacity of 1,272 members.

The triangular structure is a component of the Central Vista Redevelopment Project. It will have a constitutional hall and is claimed to be ‘divyang friendly’. To complement the open courtyard, the new structure has a central lounge.
The Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha are named after India’s national bird (the peacock) and national flower (the lotus).
